Ground-mounted photovoltaics
Alpine PV and Agri-PV: from site selection to commissioning
Thanks to their location above the fog and reflection off the snow, solar parks in the Alps can produce three times as much winter electricity as comparable systems in the lowlands. At lower altitudes, agri-PV systems can bring benefits for agriculture in addition to the electricity yield if project planning is carried out carefully. For example, agrivoltaic systems can protect crops from hail or excessive heat. In order to fully exploit the advantages of ground-mounted systems, a broad range of technical know-how is required: natural hazards on the mountain as well as increased snow and wind loads place special demands on the statics of Alpine PV systems. In addition, the systems in the mountains must be developed for construction and grid connection. Our experts have experience in the project planning of large infrastructure systems in alpine regions. Our expertise in environmental compatibility and soil protection comes into play in the planning of Agri-PV plants. Our interdisciplinary team will successfully navigate you through the planning permission process and support you in dialog with interest groups.
