Geotechnics

What is the most efficient excavation support and foundations for your project? To answer this question, we assess the geological nature of the soil and the groundwater conditions. We have geotechnical experience with large infrastructure structures such as railway stations, retaining structures along Roads or railroad lines, landslide slopes and earth dams for flood protection.

Holistic concepts for demanding geotechnics tasks

We combine all specialist areas of earthworks, foundation engineering and special civil engineering and support clients and operators of large infrastructure structures as geotechnics specialists when it comes to solving challenging tasks.

If you encounter difficult soil, we use finite element calculations to realistically map the interaction between the soil and the structure - including three-dimensionally and dynamically. If there is no space for anchorage in inner-city areas or if traffic should be able to continue unhindered above ground, we create excavations using the cut-and-cover method. If excavations are carried out next to existing buildings or even undermine them, we ensure that the structure is safely supported or underpinned, even during operation, and provide the correct monitoring.a
