Repair N03 Murg - Walenstadt: retaining walls
The national road section N03/76 from the GL/SG cantonal border to Walenstadt is being extensively renovated. Basler & Hofmann acted as overall management of the project and developed the maintenance and measures concept. As part of the project, we inspected 20 retaining walls and planned the necessary repair measures.

The eleven-kilometre-long section of national road runs along Lake Walen and, due to its topographically challenging location, includes five tunnels, three large viaducts and several engineering structures. We checked the statics of 20 retaining walls and planned the repair measures. These included local concrete repairs and structural strengthening using anchors or concrete ribs. The work was carried out during night closures to ensure full traffic capacity during the day.
