Structural engineering for new ZRH11 data center in Winterthur
Vantage Data Centers is building a modern data center campus on over three hectares in Winterthur. We built the ZRH11 data center with an IT capacity of 8 MW as part of the first expansion phase.
Royal HaskoningDHV was responsible for the planning of the new construction. We were involved in the project with a variety of disciplines. Among other things, we planned the solid and steel structural systems. The planning was carried out integrally with Building Information Modeling (BIM). The cloud-based coordination of the linked specialist models in real time enabled an extremely short planning time of just three months until the invitation to tender.
