Energieverbund Dielsdorf: Data center waste heat as an energy source
Basler & Hofmann is planning an innovative heating network for the municipality of Dielsdorf and Energie 360° AG that will use the waste heat from three new data centers as an energy source. The network offers a fossil-free heating solution for up to 3,500 households.
Green Datacenter AG is building three large data centers in the Dielsdorf industrial area, which produce considerable amounts of waste heat during operation. The company sells the energy to Energie 360° for further sustainable use. Basler & Hofmann took on the role of planner, bridging the gap between heat producer and consumer, demonstrating feasibility and taking on the planning from the preliminary project through to commissioning and subsequent optimization during operation.
