Contaminated site investigation Chlorinated hydrocarbons CHCs
The operation of dry cleaning and metal degreasing plants in earlier decades has led to contamination of the subsoil and groundwater with chlorinated hydrocarbons (CHCs). We were able to conduct investigations and plan redevelopments for various operations and property owners.
The cantonal environmental authorities generally require a contaminated site investigation for older properties suspected of being contaminated by solvents. We were able to carry out the historical and technical investigations for various affected sites and, if necessary, plan and implement further measures such as monitoring or redevelopment. As there were several polluters in most cases, we also prepared so-called site documentation as a basis for the allocation of costs under contaminated site law.
