Lukas Rüdin
Head of Geomatics

Lukas Rüdin has been with the Geomatics department since 2009. Following his apprenticeship as a surveying draughtsman, he studied Geomatics Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, and joined Basler & Hofmann immediately afterwards. Today, he can look back on a series of spectacular surveying projects in which he was the project manager, including the Prime Tower, Zurich’s tallest building, and the Gotthard Base Tunnel, the longest tunnel in Switzerland. Lukas Rüdin manages challenging projects in structural and civil engineering, as well as in industrial and tunnel surveying. He also manages challenging Scan2BIM projects, provides project management services and takes on mandates as an expert. Since 2024, he is Head of Geomatics at Basler & Hofmann.
We work on many fascinating infrastructure projects that are of a certain relevance to society. In addition to this, there’s always someone available internally to answer my questions.
