Canton of Graubünden launches pilot operation for digital building applications
As part of its e-government strategy, the canton of Graubünden is introducing digital building applications as a pilot in initially 8 municipalities on November 13, 2023. From April to September 2024, the electronic building permit procedure will be introduced in stages throughout the canton. This first introduction step is an important milestone in the project "Introduction of an electronic building permit procedure in the canton of Graubünden (eBBV)". Basler & Hofmann took over the overall project management for the design, implementation and introduction of the new electronic solution on behalf of the Office for Spatial Development ARE.
The aim of the electronic building permit procedure (eBBV) is to simplify and speed up the approval process for all parties involved. Among other things, the quality of the application documents is to be improved through guided submission processes, time is to be saved as a result of parallel digital processing by the offices involved, efficient procedural coordination is to be achieved and transparency is to be created for everyone throughout the entire application process.
The electronic building permit procedure makes it possible to check the material and formal aspects of applications digitally and in a centralized manner and to initiate the public submission process. If necessary, the municipalities can invite other official bodies to comment or issue an additional permit with just a few clicks of the mouse. The coordinated construction decision is ultimately visible to all parties involved. The system has been in pilot operation in Bergün Filisur, Bonaduz, Breil/Brigels, Domleschg, Felsberg, Pontresina, Samedan and Tujetsch since November 13, 2023.
