Schwamendingen enclosure: BSA
The enclosure of the A1 and A40 highways in Zurich-Schwamendingen drastically reduces noise and exhaust pollution in the district. The approximately 2-kilometer motorway section includes the existing Schöneichtunnel and the new enclosure. Basler & Hofmann was responsible for the planning and local site supervision for the operation and safety equipment.
The approximately 1.7 kilometer long enclosure will have a total of 4 technical centers, 3 of which will be newly built. The existing Schöneich control center will be converted during operation.
