Photovoltaics glint and glare assessment for Zurich Airport

Photovoltaic systems reflect a small amount of sunlight, which can be disturbing in certain situations, such as at airports. Since 2010, we have been preparing detailed glint and glare assessments for various PV projects on and around the Zurich Airport site. These reports provide precise statements about the potential glare effect on pilots during approaches and help to ensure Safety and Security in flight operations. In addition, we offer advice on optimizing the layout of PV systems to eliminate potential glare.
