Fire engineering for the WolkenWerk development in Zurich

The three up to 70-metre-high residential towers are supplemented with commercial uses on the basement floors and connected by an underground parking garage. The ensemble is completed by the 80-meter-high "Messeturm" office building. While we were still able to develop the fire protection concept and plans at the preliminary and concept design stage in accordance with the VKF 2003 fire protection regulations, we had to adapt these for the construction documents due to the introduction of the new VKF 2015 fire protection regulations. In addition to the concept for the basic fit-out, we were also involved in coordinating the tenant fit-outs with regard to the fire protection concept. As part of the project, we also had to plan various technical fire protection installations, in particular sprinkler systems, smoke protection pressure systems (RDA) and a fire department lift.
