Feasibility study for new construction of Waldegg substation in Zurich
Swissgrid and Elektrizitätswerke Zürich (ewz) are planning to build a new substation in the Zurich-Albisrieden district to increase the output of the Waldegg power plant. We carried out a comprehensive feasibility study to assess the viability of the project.
The new substation is to replace two existing buildings We carried out the feasibility study with a broad-based team of technical experts. We provided the data for the study at this early stage of the project using Building Information Modeling (BIM). One special feature of the project was that the substation was to be built in an open area.
