Extension of the "deBary" housing estate in Basel: SNBS certification
We accompanied the certification of the expansion and redevelopment of the Albanteich-Promenade housing estate on the former De Bary belt factory site in Basel in accordance with SNBS 2.0. We also carried out certification measurements for formaldehyde, TVOC and radon.

The "deBary" housing estate in the Breite district of Basel is an important architectural testimony to the 1960s. The site on the Albanteich-Promenade comprises four high-rise slab buildings and six blocks of flats in a park-like setting. The four high-rise residential buildings were extended by one axis as part of a sustainable internal densification. We carried out a pre-assessment of the feasibility of SNBS 2.0 certification and supported the client and the planning team in achieving provisional and definitive certification. In this context, we carried out comprehensive indoor air measurements for formaldehyde, TVOC and radon to ensure compliance with the strict environmental standards and guarantee a healthy living environment.
