Matthias Wyrsch

Matthias is well-versed in a wide variety of structural designs. His project portfolio includes, among others, the expansion of the Migros operational headquarters in Dierikon, the residential complex Eichhof West in Kriens with buildings of up to 16 stories, and the construction of the DLZ Quadrolith in Baar. He acquired his expertise in structural design during his apprenticeship as a construction draughtsman and his subsequent studies in civil engineering at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He furthered his knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and sustainable construction through various courses. Matthias Wyrsch joined Basler & Hofmann in 2013 as a project engineer, and quickly progressed internally to become a project manager.

What fascinates you about your work?

I appreciate the variety in my work. Every project brings new people and technical challenges. The opportunity to be involved in various large and small projects in the region, and to regularly walk past them after their completionand observe the impact of my own contributions, always fills me with pride.
