Property protection for Limmattal waste-to-energy plant in Dietikon
The Limmattal waste incineration plant, which is subject to the Major Accidents Ordinance, is located next to an oxbow lake of the Limmat and Reppisch rivers. There is a risk of flooding from both rivers. We were commissioned by Limeco to develop a comprehensive property protection concept.
Basler & Hofmann was commissioned to protect the plant and, in particular, the water-polluting substances from potential flooding. To this end, we developed a comprehensive property protection concept that provides for the protection of the plant up to protection level HQ300 and the water-polluting substances even up to extreme flooding with mobile measures. Based on the concept, our property protection experts have also drawn up a comprehensive alarm and emergency plan so that we can react quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency.
