Overall performance study contract for the revitalisation of Hochhaus zur Palme Zurich

The Hochhaus zur Palme, built between 1959 and 1964 by the architects Haefeli, Moser, Steiger, was revitalized and repositioned for the working environments of the future. We designed and organized a two-stage overall performance study in a selective procedure.

The high-rise is one of the most important buildings of Zurich's post-war modernism. With its eleven storeys, which float above a two-storey base area, the building sets urban planning and architectural standards. The office building has been a listed building since 2019. The aim of the revitalization was to make the most of its architectural and historical significance, design quality and central location between Paradeplatz and Enge. We organized a two-stage overall performance study in a selective procedure to find suitable partners for the project development. This was aimed at teams of architects, consultants and total contractors.
