Operational and design concepts Avenue de Lavaux, Pully
The Avenue de Lavaux is the main entry axis from the east to Lausanne with a DTV of around 18,000 vehicles and crosses the center of the city of Pully over a length of 1.5 kilometers. As part of the "Axes Forts de transports publics urbains" project, the axis is to be developed into a high-performance bus corridor.
The integration of the high-capacity bus corridor offers the opportunity to reduce the separating effect of the Roads, upgrade the public space and improve the situation for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. In the preliminary project, the central public space - the Place de la Clergère, which is currently dominated by traffic - will be transformed into an attractive and permeable public transport transfer platform with a large traffic circle and central arrangement of the bus stops, and upgraded as the gateway to the old town of Pully.
