Luberzen school extension in a noisy area
The Luberzen school complex in Dietikon is to be modernized and extended. The plot is affected by noise from the surrounding Roads. We have drawn up a noise pollution map and assessed the competition entries in terms of noise protection.
As part of a feasibility study, we determined and visualized the noise pollution on a 3D model. Based on this noise pollution map, we identified initial solutions that could be used to expand the school complex while taking noise protection requirements into account. During the competition phase, we assessed the specific solutions proposed by the architectural teams with regard to noise protection. In addition to dealing with road noise, the school's noise-generating activities, such as sports noise, were also taken into account. Attention was also paid to optimizing the design of the outdoor spaces according to the principles of sound space design.
