Gubrist Tunnel: Construction management services and superstructure management
The busy Zurich northern bypass will be relieved by the expansion of the Gubrist Tunnel with a third tube. The aim is to increase capacity and Safety and Security. Basler & Hofmann is providing construction management services for the tunnel expansion and the repair of the existing tubes.

With over 120,000 vehicles a day, the Zurich northern bypass is one of the busiest routes in Switzerland. Regular traffic jams and accidents are the result. The expansion of the Gubrist Tunnel to include a third tube and the complete renewal of the existing tubes, along with other measures, are intended to remedy the situation. Basler & Hofmann has the mandate for the construction management services BHU for both the new tube and the repair of the existing tunnel. We are supporting FEDRO in managing costs, deadlines and quality as well as in procurement and coordinating the numerous parties involved.
