The development of forest districts in the canton of Thurgau has been underway for several years, with many districts having been successfully formed. Some open issues are being clarified in a participatory process together with the most important stakeholders in order to define the guidelines up to 2035. We are allowed to accompany this process.

The Forestry Office of the Canton of Thurgau is faced with the task of clarifying the remaining unresolved cases of forest district formation. In a participatory process, the open questions are being addressed together with forest owners, municipalities, the canton and the forestry service. The process includes the recording of needs in interviews, the conception and implementation of workshops and the documentation of the variants developed for consultation. Finally, a comprehensive project report summarizing the results and recommendations will be compiled.
