Feasibility study on collective accommodation for refugees, Canton Uri

In order to meet the increasing demand for housing for refugees in the canton of Uri, we were able to prepare a feasibility study for the cantonal building department on the construction of collective accommodation. As part of the study, we examined various possible solutions and locations.

Due to the increasing number of refugees in the canton of Uri, the cantonal government commissioned a feasibility study on the construction of collective accommodation with 80 places. In collaboration with the Health, Social and Environmental Directorate and the Office for Structural Engineering, we examined the conversion of an existing staff house and alternative solutions such as containers or modular buildings. We drew up an indicative space program, clarified site-related framework conditions and created layout plans for the various construction options. Using cost-benefit analyses, we determined the best variant and made a recommendation.
