Solar power is cheaper than electricity from the socket - an attractive option for consumers with high daily demand. For the Migros Cooperative Zurich, we were able to check the suitability of its buildings for solar power. Photovoltaic systems are gradually being installed at suitable locations.

The Migros Cooperative Zurich commissioned Basler & Hofmann to analyze the photovoltaic potential of its approximately 35 real estates. The aim was to assess the suitability of each building for the installation of solar systems and to prioritize the locations. To do this, we developed a detailed evaluation grid that takes into account factors such as roof area, solar radiation and structural conditions. An individual profile was created for each building, summarizing the results of the analysis and recommendations for the next steps.
