Sanja Hak studied structural engineering in Croatia, specialising in earthquake engineering at masters level and in her subsequent doctorate in Greece and Italy. After working for several years in research and teaching, including amongst others at the European Centre for Education and Research in Earthquake Engineering and the University of Pavia, she joined Basler & Hofmann in 2015. Drawing on her specialist expertise, she advises clients on the earthquake safety security and fire resistance of existing support structures. Sanja Hak is also a test engineer responsible for examining the structural safety of nuclear power stations. Since 2019 she has also been in charge of the Secretariat of the Foundation for Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering
